Beauty being in the eye of the beholder is one of the truest sayings out there, but what many people do not realize is that beauty or attractiveness often has nothing to do with the way a person looks on the outside. Contrary to popular belief, what we find attractive in others is found beneath the skin. You do not need to lose weight, build muscle, or invest in cosmetic surgery to make yourself more attractive, and you certainly don’t need to spend lots of money on designer clothes or accessories. Here are 6 quick and easy ways to become more attractive almost overnight.

1. Take pride in your appearance
This does not mean being vain or trying to change your body or face in any significant way. The body and face you have now are all you need, as long as you take pride in how you present yourself to others. Keep up with personal hygiene, including your oral hygiene, get your hair cut regularly, and wear clean clothes that accentuate your best features. A splash of alluring perfume or aftershave with a parfum discount can also go a long way towards making you more attractive to potential partners.
2. Be yourself
Most people try to hide their true personality by acting a part when they meet new people. They do this as a form of defense, but unfortunately, it can be disingenuous or contrived. Every person has faults, and it is not possible (or advisable) to be liked by everyone that you meet. Accept that you are not going to be everyone’s cup of tea and embrace what makes you unique. Your self-assured and confident attitude will be more attractive than the false version of you.
3. Think before you speak
Another trait of an insecure person is the need to fill the silence with words, whether they have value or meaning or not. It is much more attractive when a person is confident enough to consider their words and speak with confidence and authority. If you do not know much about a topic, acknowledge that you don’t and let others speak rather than pretend or force the conversation down a different path. When you listen, follow the words of others and take in their meaning – don’t simply wait for them to stop so you can take your ‘turn’ at speaking.
4. Be positive and light-hearted
Lots of people spend their time complaining about whatever and whoever is in their thoughts at any given time. It feels natural and familiar and can be a way to bond with others, but it can also be unattractive if you do it too much. Being a source of constant complaining and negativity will drain people around you and bring their mood down, and no one wants to spend lots of time around a person like that. Be open with others, share your feelings and thoughts, but try to see the positive angles of a situation, focus on what you are thankful for, and be sure to laugh and smile as much as you can.
5. Hold your head high and keep a good posture
Do you walk with your eyes cast down and your head towards the floor? Are you usually hunched over trying to disappear into yourself? If so, it is time to look up and take on the world. A strong posture is better for your health, can make you appear taller and slimmer, and gives off an air of confidence. When you are in conversation, maintain eye contact to show people that you are engaged with what they have to say.
6. Focus on your best attributes
Everyone can find things to dislike about themselves, and dwelling on what we want to change can bring our mood right down. Instead, take control and focus on what you like about yourself, whether that’s a physical attribute, talent, skill, or personal quality. When you believe that something about you is attractive, the belief will radiate from you, and others will see you as you deserve to be seen.
