Fashion brand Wooyoungmi showcased its Spring Summer 2024 Collection, that was inspired by Jeju Island, on Sunday, June 25th, at the Théâtre National de Chaillot, during the recently finished Paris Fashion Week. The collection examines the diverse characteristics of Jeju via a South Korean lens. On the one side, there’s the rough and rocky coastal environment that the hardworking haenyeo divers call home. On the other hand, there’s the lively and sunny party island that the younger generation adores. The collection’s dynamic and ever-changing silhouette reflects this interplay of contrasts. The components alternate between embracing and distancing themselves from the body.

The scuba gilets, girdles, pants, and tops in the collection stress a body-conscious line, giving a sleek and fitting style. These pieces are paired with lightweight tailoring that has a relaxed fit, as well as small waistcoats that are inspired by 1980s summer fashion sensibility. The addition of pyjama components adds a comfy and casual touch to the entire look, emphasizing the loose-fitting and boyish mood.
Among the celebrities who attended the show were Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Kemio, and Twins Hadban.
