Nestled amidst the picturesque hills of Hyères, not far from the sea, the modernist villa of Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles, a creation by the visionary architect Robert Mallet-Stevens in 1923, basked in the warm embrace of sunlight. The villa, with its multilevel terraced gardens and captivating bay views that fragmented the landscape into countless images, provided the ideal backdrop for an atmosphere of idyllic freedom.
Facing the southern sun, the villa’s architectural volumes and outdoor spaces, from its cubist-inspired chequered garden to its sunken flower beds, became the canvas for the Spring-Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection, infusing it with an exhilarating vitality. The collection is an exuberant symphony of light and color, a profusion of geometric patterns, and a playful embrace of contrasting asymmetries, patchworks, lines, checks, and stripes. It is a declaration of a distinct vision of elegance and insouciance.
Among the standout pieces are dressing gowns in multicolored, black, or pink tweed, and jackets in striped terrycloth, spanning the full spectrum of hues. Neoprene suits, lace dresses, and trousers adorned with floral motifs are also a testament to this vibrant joie de vivre. Short dresses and sunray pleated tops, striped Bermuda shorts, and double-breasted jackets all radiate a sense of relaxed sophistication.
Immersed in an atmosphere of joy, sport, and celebration, the elegantly carefree Spring Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection extends a warm invitation to savor life in the great outdoors. It is a vibrant testament to the enduring allure of Chanel, where fashion meets freedom with an exuberant spirit.
