Westworld‘s “Maeve” Thandie Newton stars in the cover story of Porter Magazine‘s latest edition captured by fashion photographer Liz Collins. Styling is work of Cathy Kasterine, who for the session selected pieces from top brands such as Balenciaga, Osar de la Renta, Alexander McQueen, Giambattista Valli, Marques’ Almeida, and Molly Goddard to name a few. In charge of art direction was Phil Buckingham, with beauty from hair stylist Rio Sreedharan at The Wall Group, makeup artist Amy Wright at Caren, and manicurist Emma Welsh at Frank Agency.
“It’s the best role. The perspective she has [as a robot] and what that, as an audience, allows us to consider… What makes her strong are the things she’s copied or learnt from a human being. She’s cherry-picked the things she wants to keep. It’s really great this season. We have such good directors. We have eight episodes and five are directed by women. I’ve worked with so many women over the past 12 months.” – Newton on “Maeve” character she plays in Westworld.
Westworld‘s 3rd season premiered on March 15th, and it will consist of eight episodes.
