Actress Lauren Ridloff teams up with fashion photographer Annelise Phillips for the pages of The Last Magazine‘s June 2018 edition. In charge of styling was Carolina Orrico, with beauty from hair stylist Yukiko Tajima at See Management, and makeup by Seong Hee Park.
“I went to the meeting and again I gave them a lot of names of other deaf actors and I never once thought that I was a possible candidate for the role of Sarah because she had always been portrayed by a white deaf woman so it didn’t even enter my mind. At the end, the casting director asked if I was interested in doing a reading while they were still looking for the right actress and I agreed. After the first reading, Kenny pulled me aside and said, ‘If this goes all the way, are you willing to go all the way?’ What a ride it has been!” – Ridloff for The Last Magazine, on getting her role in Children of a Lesser God.
