In an exciting announcement, the Latin American Fashion Awards have revealed their hosts for the inaugural event. Sasha Calle, the Colombian-rooted actress who dazzled audiences as Supergirl in ‘The Flash’, will share the stage with actress and singer of Dominican heritage, Leslie Grace. The groundbreaking fashion event, which has been pioneered by Latin American fashion luminaries Constanza Etro and Silvia Argüello, promises to be a spectacle of talent, culture, and style.
Set to take the stage on November 4th in the Dominican Republic, attendees can also look forward to a mid-event performance by J Balvin, who is also awarded the title of “Latin Fashion Icon of the Year.”

The spotlight doesn’t stop there; the awards boast a prestigious international jury, with designer Haider Ackermann at the helm. Other esteemed jury members include CFDA CEO, Steven Kolb; President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Carlo Capasa; ELLE USA’s Editor-in-Chief, Nina Garcia; and many other notable figures from the fashion realm. Their collective mission? To honour the distinctive values of Latin American fashion and to amplify its influence on the global stage.
Impressive 1,500 applications from over 23 countries poured in during the Open Call for Latin American Talent. Among those selected as the crème de la crème are designers such as Raúl Lopez, Willy Chavarría, and Johanna Ortiz; Daniela Villegas; and Fashion Model Hiandra Martinez, to name a few.
The Latin American Fashion Awards has collaborated with contemporary artist Studio Lenca for the creation of the awards trophy. This El Salvador-born artist, currently working from Tracey Emin’s TKE Studios in London, is renowned for his bold and candid work.
