The 20th print edition of DSCENE Magazine, titled “Line, Form, Space,” explores the blend of music and acting with a spotlight on Eliot Sumner. Reflecting on the casting process, Sumner remarks, “I interpreted Freddie as I envisioned him, not as the loud American described in the script. My portrayal was different.” This interpretation won over both the casting director and the director. Sumner also expresses the deep personal connection he felt filming in Rome, stating, “Living in an apartment in Trastevere made me feel truly at home for the first time. Italy brings out a different side of me.” This sense of belonging infused the project with an authentic feel, enhancing Sumner’s performance.
