Thom Browne’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection premiered in New York on February 14th, marking a captivating conclusion to NYFW. Inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s iconic poem “The Raven,” Browne’s runway spectacle melded whimsy with darkness, captivating attendees such as Janet Jackson, Queen Latifah, Christopher Abbott, Dree Hemingway, Morgan Spector, Seulgi, Tierra Whack, Danai Gurira, Alton Mason, Rebecca Hall, Havana Rose Liu, Cooper Hoffman, Rachel Brosnahan and Quintessa Swindell.

The collection artfully intertwined elements of darkness and melancholy while retaining the signature aesthetic of the American fashion house. Guided by the haunting narration of actress Carrie Coon, the runway showcased shredded tuxedos, skirts, and coats crafted from mohair, silk, and cashmere, evoking a sense of Gothic elegance and refinement.

Browne’s mastery of tailoring took center stage as classic silhouettes were reimagined with avant-garde flourishes. From draped tweed overcoats to deconstructed tuxedos, each ensemble exuded couture craftsmanship and innovation. The monochromatic palette of black, white, and gray underscored Browne’s commitment to understated elegance, allowing intricate textures and embellishments to shine. Throughout the collection, motifs of ravens and feathers added a mystical allure, paying homage to Poe’s enduring legacy while infusing whimsical charm.
