Inspired by Lutens’ boundary-pushing approach to fashion, photography, and fragrance.

From his early years, Stonehouse exhibited a keen eye for beauty and fashion. His journey began at a MAC Cosmetics counter, where he perfected his skills and developed a deep understanding of makeup artistry. Over six years with the brand, Stonehouse immersed himself in the world of beauty, both backstage and in educational roles, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

Transitioning to the prestigious L’Oreal group, Stonehouse assumed the role of Director of Artistry for L’Oreal Luxe, where he led the artistic direction for prestigious beauty labels like Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Giorgio Armani Beauty, and Lancôme. His tenure at L’Oreal marked a period of growth and innovation, as Stonehouse brought his unique perspective and expertise to the forefront of the industry.

In 2020, Stonehouse decided to chart a new course in his career, focusing on editorial artistry and embracing the freedom of independent contracting. With a blend of progressive values and a multidisciplinary approach to beauty.

The collaboration with Shiseido serves as a testament to Stonehouse’s versatility and vision,  together, they breathe new life into the legacy of Shiseido and Serge Lutens, bridging the past with the present to create a culturally resonant series of photographs.
