Louis Vuitton and multimedia artist Alex Israel have collaborated once again to bring a fresh and vibrant perspective to the Cologne Perfumes collection. Known for his colorful and Californian-inspired style, Israel has been working with the Maison since 2019, infusing each fragrance with his unique vision of Los Angeles.

FRAGRANCES

This year, they present “Ocean Blvd,” a three-dimensional art piece that takes viewers on an imaginary stroll along a Los Angeles boulevard. This creative street scene integrates each Cologne into contemporary Californian architecture, reflecting Israel’s signature chromatic palette.

Crafted in France, this two-meter-long sculpture required over 500 hours of work by 20 artisans, showcasing Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship with materials like Taurillon leather, Taiga leather, and natural beige leather.

Pacific Chill

The journey begins with Pacific Chill, a fragrance inspired by the Californian cool attitude, featuring notes of blackcurrant, carrot seeds, and aromatic herbs. The spa facade, covered in white cowhide embossed with the Monogram pattern, echoes the bottle’s blue and green gradient, symbolizing the coastal landscape.

On The Beach

Next, On the Beach captures the essence of the sun, sea, and sand with notes of yuzu, neroli, and aromatic herbs. The surf shop’s facade blends red, orange, and blue gradients, mirroring Venice Beach’s sky, and is accented with golden brass Louis Vuitton rivets.

City Of Stars

The City of Stars cinema celebrates this evening Cologne with a mix of citrus fruits, tiare flower, sandalwood, and musk. The 50s-inspired building, adorned with neon lights and LV Monogram details, reflects the vibrant nightlife of Los Angeles.

California Dream

California Dream offers a serene evening retreat, blending mandarin, ambrette, and vanilla benzoin. The restaurant’s decor is inspired by the bottle’s pink and blue gradient, creating a perfect sunset ambiance.

Afternoon Swim

The final stop is Afternoon Swim, represented by a lifeguard station in blue hues, capturing the freshness of bergamot and mandarin. This iconic Malibu beach tower, crafted with blue Taiga cowhide and natural beige leather, embodies the essence of an eternal summer.

Alex Israel’s “Ocean Blvd” for Louis Vuitton is a vivid celebration of Californian lifestyle and craftsmanship, transforming each Cologne into a piece of contemporary art.
